Presentation

The 16^th edition of the Costa Rica Trail, La Transtica, will take place from December 3^rd to December 13^th, 2025, and will be limited to 40 runners and declined  over 2 distances:

Extreme : 5 stages, 28 to 48 km per day, total distance of 200 km, total elevation gain of 9,300 m.
Adventure : 5 stages, 18 to 28 km per day, total distance of 117 km, total elevation gain of 5,800 m.

The main objective of the Costa Rica Trail, La Transtica is to discover the country and its way of life through an adventure with a solidarity character.
Between two oceans, the race is defined by the unique crossing of a natural paradise on a land of fire to discover the culture and local populations.

Beyond surpassing ourself and exploring ours limits, these are great moments of discovery, emotions, laughs and tears, sharing and solidarity, it is a human adventure beyond time and the beaten track.

The Costa Rica Trail, La Transtica is organized by the association El Niño, an association under the 1901 French law, (Siret: 517 523 585 00019).
